Programme Management

An important development within automation is the introduction of open systems. No longer are companies obliged to buy the entire information system with one single supplier. Now the option is offered to obtain 'best of breed' software. The big advantage of this is that one can construct a system with only positive points, without having to settle for compromises. Some suppliers have created a clear trend with this for both larger systems as well as for systems suitable for mid sized and smaller companies. A downside to this is that the complexity of the implementation project will most likely increase. For one, discussions with several suppliers will have to be held. Also, the total information system will only suffice when each of its building elements operates the way it should. .

Adjustment and integration

Programme Management adapts to this issue. Next to completing the different sub-projects, special attention is given to the integration of these sub-projects. De Moer Project Services focuses on the fine-tuning and integration of the different parts. This involves the infra structure, hardware, possibly middle ware and software of the different suppliers. Programme Management will enforce that all the different parts will develop in the right way and will prevent the stagnation of part-processes that have been set up with different suppliers.
